Plant sale 2015

wee tomato plantFor the last few years, WYOG has been holding a sale of plants grown by group members.  These could either be surplus to your needs or, if you’re really keen, extras you’ve grown for the purpose.  This year, it’s part of Saltaire Local Produce market on May 9th.  So please get growing;  everything sells, including tomatoes and peppers, brassicas, house plants, perennials you’ve split, fruit bushes grown from cuttings, the list is endless.

We’re also looking for someone to oversee the event for the group.  If you’d be willing to coordinate, both in advance and on the day, please get in touch with me, Peter Taylor, at  sueandpetertaylor@yahoo.co.uk  or ring me on 01484-607748.  It doesn’t involve a great deal of work but will run much better if someone is able to organise it.  The event is good fun and a chance to talk to other growers and group members.

Plant Sale!

Plant_sale_poster_2013_copyDon’t forget: The WYOG Plant Sale will be held on Saturday 18th May at Saltaire Farmers Market.

Not only is it a great chance to fill in some of the gaps in your sowing, it’s a great way to donate extra plants that you don’t have space for.

A variety of plants are welcome – unusual veg/herb plants especially good – and we hope to have a special section for plants grown from Heritage seeds. Flowering plants and perennials sell well too.

You can download a copy of the posterby clicking on the image on the right.

Plants and helpers are needed to support WYOG at our annual plant sale. Please phone Marion on 07532 428673 to offer help or for more information.
