WYOG – visit to ‘Edibles’ permaculture project

Edibles is a permaculture project set in a beautiful position in the Colne Valley near Huddersfield. WYOG will be visiting on July 20th at 1.30 so we can catch the 12.30 train from Huddersfield.
The visit will include a site tour and talk outlining how permaculture principles have informed the development of the site, which will be free to members. If there are quite a few of us (say 12 or more) they will be firing up the pizza oven for £7.50 per head (pizza, salad, cake, drinks) – BYO wine and beer. All the pizzas are vegetarian and there are vegan options. They can also do gluten free dough if you let me know in advance. If numbers are below 12, there will be a charge of £2.50 per head for drinks and home made cake.

Please contact Peter Taylor asap (01484-607748 or at sueandpetertaylor@yahoo.co.uk) if you would like to come so we can book the pizza oven.

Edibles is situated at Paddock Farm , West Slaithwaite, which is midway between the villages of Slaithwaite and Marsden, in the South Pennines. Marsden is the nearest train station, which has hourly connections from Huddersfield and Manchester. A pleasant one mile walk along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal towpath brings you to Paddock Farm.

By road they are one mile from the A62, Huddersfield to Manchester Road. The full address is The Barn, Paddock Farm, Park Gate Road, West Slaithwaite, Huddersfield HD7 5XA. PLEASE DO NOT USE SAT NAV, but download the pdf of directions from their website at http://www.edibles.org.uk
