Wortley Hall Walled Garden – volunteer days

Wortley Gardens volunteer poster

If you live in the East Peak area (e.g. Stocksbridge, Penistone, Denby Dale, Kirkburton) here’s an opportunity to volunteer in a working kitchen garden that uses sustainable, organic methods.  With extensive vegetable beds, herb garden, orchard and three large polytunnels there’s plenty to do and learn about at Wortley Hall Walled Garden. There’s also the chance to help repair the 200 year old walls using traditional lime mortar.

We have plenty of projects to join in with through Autumn/Winter!

Autumn/Winter Volunteer Days:
Open every Tuesday & Thursday 10.30—16.00
No experience needed. Travel Expenses paid.
Safety Boots and Gloves provided.
